ESN Meeting | Pioneering sensory and consumer research in Porto

It’s always inspiring to be part of a passionate and forward-thinking network.

SAM is excited to reconnect with our ESN community this Fall Meeting and contribute to the ongoing conversations shaping the future of sensory and consumerresearch.

This year’s agenda promises thought-provoking discussions on Consumer Research in Novel Foods, Innovation in the Wine Sector and Ethical Aspects of Novel Food Evaluation. As part of the ESN Board, Patricia Silva (Vice Chair) and Lise Dreyfuss (Research Chair) will be steering discussions and sharing updates on current initiatives.

We’re delighted that SAM’s Paolo Manfredi will be participating, presenting the latest findings from the ‘Repeat Purchase’ research project. Sebastian Gräper will moderate a dynamic brainstorming session focused on generating ideas for new collaborative research.

Set against the backdrop of Porto’s rich sensory heritage – the group will be reminded of how places and sensory perception intertwine. To top off the visit, the group will enjoy a visit to Porto’s iconic wine cellars - where history, culture, and flavour come together. The perfect setting for a memorable Port Wine tasting.

Here’s to a meeting full of inspiration, collaboration, and sensory discovery!
